and it came to me, and i said said,un" what? we can't just cut like we would traditionally," which is basically going by the script, you know. important lines that come to the other-- other actor for and that sort of thing. we had to do that. but we had to do that on this rhythm. and i was-- it was really, really interesting because denzel went into this thing and he-- this whole performance had an internal clock to it. and we just had to stay true to that, and that's what guided me through putting this movie together. >> rose: roll tape. this is the second scene of denzel in the plane trying to save the plane.
